Aileron Conference Table
On an airplane the aileron is responsible for a change in direction in the vast space of clouds and sky. In the boardroom the MotoArt Albatross Aileron Conference Table will, without doubt, continue that mission. The course is set from bland to extraordinary with this outstanding piece of custom airplane furniture that defines industrial elegance. This aileron, originally a part of the historic amphibious flying boat Albatross built by Grumman in the 50s and 60s, is transformed into a tasteful conference table that perfectly blends the past with the future.
Functional Art
For this jaw-dropping, very limited edition piece, Designers Donovan Fell and Dave Hall incorporated a turned-aluminum under-paneling that accentuates the stylish geometric rib structure and powder-coated candy rich colors. And for the base, they instituted their signature technique of artistically mixing materials – in this case, metal, bamboo and glass. The end result is something sleek, contemporary and completely singular.Custom Aviation Furniture
The ailerons can be cut to any size from 8 to 18’ in length with a width of 60". It can be powder-coated any color, and the base can be stained or painted to accent the color you've selected for the aileron. The top is custom fitted 1/2" tempered glass. As shown, all of the MotoArt tables can now be outfitted for voice, power or data outlets.
